All Care Cafe practitioners and clients are asked to join a private membership organization (link to Membership Contract). In addition to the one-time $10 membership fee, clients pay a koha (pay what you can) when they receive treatments. Payment options include cash and on-line bank transfers. Free Friday Wellness Presentations

Friday 13 February 1-2pm – Sanson Shines (aka Peter Heard) – “The TARA approach: Healing Shock and Trauma with a Fusion of Eastern and Western Modalities” Sanson is a practitioner of the TARA approach, a fusion of Eastern and Western Healing Modalities” TARA is especially effective at unlayering shock and trauma, tonifying the vagus system and empowering people to live more authentically. TARA has an embryological foundation, offering developmental healing which flows through swiftly to the lived adult experience.

Friday 20 February 1-2pm – Lynda Northcott “What is Somatic Energy Therapy?” Fresh out of Somatic ‘school’ after seven months of training. After 20 years as a Reiki Practitioner, how does this complement my practice and what can clients expect in a session? Complementary sound and light language transmission at the end of presentation.’

Red Light Therapy

As Mark Sloan describes in Red Light Therapy: Miracle Medicine, Red Light therapy produces dramatic results in a broad range of inflammatory conditions, including autoimmune diseases, arthritis, obesity, hair loss, dementia and cancer.

The Care Cafe Offers Red Light Sessions Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Important information:

  1. Sessions are 10 minutes long and are $20 koha each.
  2. Clients should wear “light” clothing for Red Light therapy – a tee-shirt and summer slacks or skirt. If clients wish to undress for their session, they should bring a bathrobe or sheet.
  3. Normal frequency for most conditions is three sessions per week. Five+ treatments a week are recommended for clients with cancer or other serious debilitating conditions. Clients with serious conditions and/or personal hardship can apply to our Working Group for discounted rates.
  4. Clients shouldn’t undergo Red Light therapy if they have hives or other acute allergic rash, high fever, active tuberculosis, severe burns, hyperthyroidism, lupus or while taking retinol or other medications causing photosensitivity. Clients with pregnancy, clotting disorders or taking blood thinners, hyperpigmentation or diabetic retinopathy (need consent from ophthalmologist), should use with caution.
